3. Aluminum:
Aluminum is known for being lightweight yet durable, making it a popular metal choice in various industries. However, punching aluminum can be challenging due to its high heat conductivity and low melting point (around 1,200°F). Therefore, it’s essential to use efficient techniques for hot punching this metal.

To effectively punch through aluminum, preheat the metal to around dull red (approximately 900°F) while keeping a close eye on it to prevent overheating. The use of lubricants like beeswax or machine oil during the process is highly recommended as they reduce friction and aid in creating clean punches. 4. Wrought Iron:

However, keep in mind that wrought iron cools down more quickly than other metals; therefore, work efficiently but carefully.

Using rounded punches rather than flat ones can help create decorative designs when working with wrought iron. Additionally, consider using smaller punches compared to what you would typically use for steel or brass since wrought iron requires less force due to its lower carbon content.
