4. Combination Dies:

Combination dies are often used when producing parts with varying cross-sections or irregular shapes that require specific areas to be tightly controlled while allowing others to deform more freely. Examples of components made using combination dies include crankshafts and connecting rods.

5. Extrusion Dies:
Extrusion is a specialized form of drop forging that involves forcing metal through an opening in a die to create long-shaped forgings such as rods or tubes. Extrusion dies typically consist of multiple segments that form the desired shape when brought together.

Extrusion can be performed at room temperature (cold extrusion) or at elevated temperatures (hot extrusion). Cold extrusion is preferred for materials with high strength and low ductility, while hot extrusion is suitable for materials that need to be shaped at higher temperatures for better malleability.
