One advantage of ferrite welding compared to other types of welding techniques is that it does not require any additional materials like wires or filler rods. Additionally, because it involves hammering rather than melting the metals together, there is less risk of warping or distortion.

However, ferrite welding requires a significant amount of skill and practice to master. It can be challenging for beginners due to the precise timing required when heating and cooling the metals. Also important is selecting compatible metals with similar melting temperatures; otherwise uneven heating can occur resulting in poor weld quality.
