As a blacksmith, one of the most critical skills you need to master is forge welding. Forge welding involves fusing two pieces of metal together without using any adhesives or soldering materials. 1) Scarf Weld: This technique involves creating a tapered edge on both pieces of metal that will be joined and then hammering them together at high heat.

2) Upset Weld: In this method, the end of one piece of metal is heated until it swells up, and the other end is inserted into it before being hammered together.

3) Jump Weld: Two pieces of metal are placed vertically with a gap between them. The welded joint is created by heating both pieces simultaneously and then striking them with a hammer.

7) Butt Joint Weld: Two flat ends meet at right angles in this type where they’re heated red-hot before being hammered repeatedly until fused tightly as one unit.

8) T-Butt Joint Weld: Similar to a butt joint but with an added extension on one side that forms a “T” shape when joined after heating up both parts red-hot again for maximum bonding strength!

9) Corner Joint Weld or Mitered Butt Joint : This involves cutting both pieces to be joined at a 45-degree angle and then welding them together into a corner.

10) V-Butt Joint Weld: In this method, the two ends of the metal are cut at an angle that forms a “V” shape when they’re brought together. The joint is welded by heating and hammering it closed.

11) Bevelled Edge Joint Weld: Both ends of the metal are tapered or beveled before being heated red-hot and hammered together under pressure for maximum bonding strength!

13) Forge Braze Welding: A low melting point alloy like brass is used to join metals with minimal heat input. It’s perfect for joining dissimilar materials, unlike other welding methods that require identical materials only.

14) Spot Welding: Here, thin sheets of metal can be welded using two copper electrodes placed on either side of where you want your weld seam created!
