Angelina Jolie: A Hollywood Icon and Humanitarian Trailblazer

Angelina Jolie is a household name in the entertainment industry. She has been in the limelight for over two decades, from her early acting career to her humanitarian work and advocacy efforts.

Born on June 4, 1975, in Los Angeles, California, Angelina Jolie started acting at a young age. Her breakthrough role was in the film “Gia,” where she played supermodel Gia Carangi. From there, she went on to star in several blockbuster films such as “Tomb Raider,” “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” and “Maleficent.”

Aside from her successful acting career, Angelina Jolie is also known for her humanitarian work. She became a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in 2001 and has since then visited refugees around the world and advocated for their rights.

In addition to this, Angelina Jolie co-founded the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative with William Hague when he was still UK Foreign Secretary. The initiative aims to raise awareness of sexual violence as a weapon of war and encourage international action against it.

Angelina Jolie’s personal life has also been highly publicized over the years. She was married to actor Brad Pitt from 2014 until their separation in 2016. They have six children together – three adopted and three biological.
