Once you have shaped both ends, use a grinder or file to smooth out any rough edges before quenching the metal in water to cool it down quickly.
2. Leaf Hook
Creating leaf hooks is another straightforward project perfect for beginners. You’ll need some thin sheet metal (around 16 gauge) and basic hand tools such as pliers, wire cutters, hammers, etc., along with access to heat source like propane torches or coal forge.
Firstly make sure that your sheet metal is clean so that when heated up there won’t be any dirt left on surface which could cause unwanted marks later on during carving process.. Use your pliers or shears to cut out leaf shapes from this sheet metal then heat them up till they turn red hot color by placing them near flame source(either propane torches or coal forge).
