Hexavalent chrome (CrVI) poses significant health risks when ingested through inhalation or skin exposure among workers exposed to this compound during chrome-plating activities. Modern Blacksmiths need proper protective gear including masks that cover their nose and mouth while working with hexavalent chrome materials
