The blacksmith controls the temperature by adding more fuel or adjusting ventilation flow based on how hot they want their fire to be.

Advantages of Traditional Forging

1) Affordability: Coal-fired forges are cheaper than induction furnaces making them ideal if you’re starting out and don’t have much capital upfront.

2) Large Workspace: You can work with multiple pieces at once since there’s ample room inside most traditional forging setups meaning higher production rates during each session without needing extra equipment like an induction furnace would require.

3) More Flexibility: With traditional forging methods; you can easily adjust heating levels depending on what materials you’re working with and get better control over your final product quality due to increased flexibility offered by manual control over flames rather than relying solely on electromagnetic fields generated by coils in an induction furnace setup.

Disadvantages of Traditional Forging

1) Less Precision Control: With conventional forging methods, it’s hard to control the temperature precisely. This means that you may end up with a product that has uneven heat distribution or is too soft/hard than you intended.
